7th Interfaith Dialogue Conference in Budgam Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Brotherhood

The 7th Interfaith Dialogue Conference was held in Budgam, reaffirming a renewed commitment to cultivating human brotherhood and communal harmony across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The event marked the 36th commemoration of Imam Khomeini (R.A) and was themed “Interfaith Dialogue: Its Role in Cultivating Peace.”

The conference was organized by the Anjuman Interfaith Dialogue Chapter, under the leadership of its founding chairman and current head, Agha Syed Hasan Al-Musawi Al-Safvi.

The gathering was attended by various dignitaries representing different religions and sects, who offered valuable insights into the humanistic and philanthropic legacy of Imam Khomeini.

Prominent figures included Mirwaiz Kashmir Dr. Moulana Umer Farooq, Professor Dr. Siddiq Wahid, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra, RTI activist Raja Muzaffar, Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Ghulam Nabi Var, Sardar Angat Singh, Sadiq Hardasi, and Pastors Paul and John Phillips, among others.

Speakers emphasized the importance of promoting human values, interfaith brotherhood, and communal tolerance in the Kashmir Valley. They pledged to counter all divisive forces that threaten mutual understanding and unity in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
