one-day Environmental Building Program on Children With Special Needs (CWSN) was held at Model Higher Secondary School, Chandoosa. The event was organized under the guidance of Zonal Education Officer, Smt. Harmeet Kour, and supervised by Principal MHSS Chandoosa, Mr. Sajad Hussain Shah, and Vice Principal, Mr. Shabir Hussain Beig.
The program focused on raising awareness among parents, teachers, and community members about identifying and registering children with special needs under departmental initiatives.
In her address, ZEO Smt. Harmeet Kour stressed the shared responsibility of society in supporting children with special needs and ensuring access to education and developmental resources.
Zonal Resource Persons — Mr. Meetpal Singh, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Mr. Mehraj-ud-Din Sufi (ZCC), Mr. Showkat Nazir Parray, and ZNO IE, Mr. Bilal Ahmad Lone — discussed key identification methods and departmental support mechanisms. They underlined the need for an inclusive and empathetic learning atmosphere where every child can thrive.
The orientation session received positive feedback from participants, who expressed their commitment to help identify and empower CWSN within their communities.
