Narvaw Collective Academy organized a Career Guidance and Counselling Session on 07 January 2026. The programme aligned with the objectives of the National Education Policy. It focused on career awareness, skill development, and informed decision making among students.
Mr. Showkat Nanda led the session. He is a noted journalist, documentary photographer, and educator from Kashmir. He engaged directly with students and shared practical insights from his professional journey. He spoke on reporting, documentary journalism, photography, media ethics, and the growing role of digital media.
Students received clear guidance on skills required for journalism. The session explained academic pathways and career options in print, digital, and broadcast media. It stressed critical thinking, curiosity, and responsible media use and content creation.
The programme highlighted the NEP focus on multidisciplinary learning, creativity, communication skills, and real world exposure. Students were encouraged to choose careers based on interest, aptitude, and passion.
Narvaw Collective Academy thanked Mr. Showkat Nanda for his guidance. The academy appreciated active student participation. It reaffirmed its commitment to student centric learning and continuous career guidance in line with national education goals.
