Budgam 18 Dec…. // MLA Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, visited Sheikh Ul Alam Degree College in Budgam to inspect ongoing projects and review the college’s facilities.
During his visit, Aga Muntazir toured lecture halls, the library, and other areas. He engaged with faculty, staff, and students to better understand their needs and suggestions. He emphasized the critical role of quality education in rural areas and instructed the college administration to enhance academic standards, improve infrastructure, and promote extracurricular activities.
While interacting with students, he reiterated that the current reservation policy is unacceptable. “What we are seeing is that the law is being used to penalize Kashmiri students, and I will advocate for the rationalization of the policy so that every section of society receives equal rights,” he stated.
Additionally, he announced the provision of a college bus from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and assured students that he would work closely with them to improve educational access and resources in Budgam.
