Baramulla Police Arrest Two Drug Peddlers; Contraband Recovered

Baramulla, Dec 17: Baramulla Police arrested two suspected drug peddlers during a naka checking at Mangam–Wagoora Crossing late night on December 16. The accused tried to flee but were apprehended by a police team from Police Post Wagoora led by PSI Sameer Ahmad.

Police recovered 8 grams and 2 grams of heroin-like substance along with cash of ₹22,500 and ₹500 from the duo, identified as Abdul Qayoom Lone of Kalantra Bala and Suraj Ahmad Sheikh of Sheikhpora Kreeri.

An FIR (No. 90/2025) under sections 8/21-29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kreeri. Further investigation is underway. Baramulla Police reiterated its zero-tolerance stance against drug trafficking and appealed to the public for cooperation.
