BLAME GAME POLITICS

✒️:. MOHD ISHAQ SHAH

It can be sensed that the elections ( panchayat/ municipal) are underway and all the regional parties have started their motivational discourse prior to the announcement by Election Commission at national/ sate level. The traditional blame game has started in advance to befool the people once more. Statements by different politicians are indicative of blaming one another with regard to downgrading the status of the former state and insertion of BJP in the state Assembly.
As a state subject, I am totally confused with the statements given by the said parties. No party talks about democratic principles and the work culture that are at stake. No one talks about corruption, unemployment, wretched farmers, temporary employees in various departments.
I can say with confirmation that the daily wagers engaged in 1994 and onwards are still pleading for regularisation. Thousands of need based workers ,adhoc/contractual employees, academic arrangement teachers/ lecturers , NHM, NHRM, Anganwadi workers, Asha Workers etc and many more are Waiting in the queue.

Who will talk about all these employees who have given their precious time to govt. Who is concerned about the future of their children?

And especially the lakhs of highly educated and unemployed youth who are expecting that their future might be given a consideration. Who are about to cross the age limit, who are suffering from mental trauma, who are socially ignored and looked down upon.

But the general public must comprehend how innocently they have been responding to these false claims that are inclusive of election manifesto of such parties. We must be mindful of the fact that in a democratic set up these statements have no worth.
Election manifesto must be realistic in nature that can be executed after winning. Proclamation of restoring the lost status and erecting self rule, Autonomy etc seems all non-sensical and idiotic statements.

There is a simple logic that Article -370 and 35-A have been abrogated by parliament and subsequently declared by supreme court of India.
So, it is only Central govt and the supreme court that can restore it back. False claims have no credibility in present times when the people are connected to the whole world.

As of now the local parties must adopt a realistic approach and face the people with that and then let the people decide which part they will opt for. The logical approach is like Panchayat/ Municipal elections have nothing to do with the political issues as these are developmental organisation and according to constitional provisions there is no role of political parties in such election. How can a DDC , Sarpanch or Panch deliberate on the national or state level issues when it is not his mandidate. They can’t even show their political association while having compaign in said elections.

Why people must be made fun and mockery of, is totally out of my mind.
In order to settle the constitutional matters with union govt. , the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir have to fix a common agenda and follow that very agenda. The time will reveal the results and efforts put therein.
