Seerah cum Talent Competition Test-2025 Conducted by Book Readers Club
Date: August 24, 2025
The Book Readers Club, in collaboration with the Wisdom Wings Educational Foundation, successfully conducted its Seerat programme, “Seerah cum Talent Competition Test-2025”, on August 24, 2025, at Boys Higher Secondary School, Kralpora. The event witnessed the overwhelming participation of more than 350 students, along with parents and guests.
The programme was designed to promote a culture of book reading among students, encouraging them to explore and learn from Islamic literature and the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It aimed to foster knowledge and appreciation of Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW), providing students with a deeper understanding of the Prophet’s teachings and their relevance in contemporary life. The programme also served as a platform for young talents to showcase their skills, whether through academic tests or creative expressions. Additionally, it helped prepare students for prestigious examinations by familiarizing them with general knowledge and current affairs, while also introducing them to OMR-based tests from the middle level onwards.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Nabi (SAW), followed by an instructional and moral guidance session for student participants. The main segment was an OMR-based test, for which three books were recommended and provided to the participants: “Rehmatal lil Aalmeen”, “General Knowledge JK” by Aadil Hameed Pir (Director, Book Readers Club), and “Quran ka Mukhtasar Taaruf” by Gazi Mohiudin.
A book exhibition and introduction session were also organized, giving students the opportunity to explore and engage with Islamic literature. A feedback-cum-interview session was held for student participants, parents, volunteers, and organizers to share their experiences and suggestions.
The programme’s success was made possible by the dedication of the volunteers, including Pir Aadil Hameed, Peerzada Shabir Ahmad Kirmani, Peerzada Javaid Iqbal (Lecturer, BHSS Kralpora), Mir Arshad Sideeq, Peerzada Farooq Usmani, Pir Bilal Ahmad, Taha Yaseen Bhat (Teacher), Pir Irfan Ahmad, Lone Tahir Ahmad, and Showkat Ahmad Lone (Teacher), who played their roles to perfection as supervisors and support staff. The invigilators who volunteered their time also deserve special appreciation for ensuring the smooth conduct of the test.
Renowned orator and youth icon Muntazir Momin was invited as the chief guest, while young journalist Faizan Qureshi (Editor-in-Chief, Kashmir Viewer) was invited as the guest of honour. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, both were unable to attend. Special thanks are due to Peerzada Mumin for recording the proceedings of the programme and to Ali Mohd Mir (Lecturer, BHSS Kralpora) for serving as the observer.
The Book Readers Club and Wisdom Wings Educational Foundation extend their gratitude to Boys Higher Secondary School Kralpora for providing the venue, and to all participants, parents, and stakeholders for their invaluable contribution in making the Seerat programme a resounding success.
