Srinagar 06 Feb.. // A criminal complaint has been filed against journalist Shakir Shabir Bhat by Advocate Ifra, alleging offences of criminal defamation, intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace, and promoting enmity between different groups on religious grounds.
The court has taken note of the complaint and issued a pre cognizance notice to the accused. He has been directed to appear before the court on 11 February 2026.
Further proceedings will follow as per law.
