Dead Conscience of the deserted Land

✒️:. MOHD ISHAQ SHAH

“Should I sell out my soul or Should I sell out drugs.
What should I do?????”

This cry could even pierce the heart of a stone hearted person. These tears could even make a brave to weep. A noble Soul to lament on the very fate of our community/ nation.

Such wailings could even go through the thick forests and over the tall mountains. But, at the end of the day, such cries must shake the very conscience of those who claim to be leaders , well wishers of the nation and humanity.
I can understand only one thing: The collective conscience of our nation has died. The hearts have been so benumbed and minds are so tranquillized that the sensation has been lost at its worst version.

Is this empowering women or downgrading women, disgracing them or getting them on the streets to plead pathetically for their rights.

Why is this sister of ours forced to become a street vendor? What has happened to her that she felt so helpless that she came out of the four walls of her home to struggle for survival? Isn’t there any caretaker of her.? Doesn’t she belong to any father, mother, brother or sister?

It simply indicates that we have failed both at community/ national and State level to protect the interests of destitute, helpless, poor and needy.

At least she needs an appreciation and encouragement in the sense that she has been bold enough to face the social reality manifested in the very cruel behaviour of so called civilized people.

At least she hasn’t turned into a whore or prostitute. She has not sold out her self and soul as some do when fail to face the reality of life. Definitely, we would pass on our comments and throw on her like pots and pans.

We as community must help this lady in such a way that she turns out to be a well established business woman and she hires others to work with her.
