Srinagar, Sept 21: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi on Sunday said that incarcerated MP Baramulla Engineer Rashid has completed more than 30 hours of his 48-hour hunger strike inside Tihar Jail and has now entered the second day of his protest. He stressed that Er Rashid’s hunger strike is not just a personal sacrifice but a moral outcry against the hypocrisy of Indian and Pakistani governments and a reminder of the unending sufferings of the people of Jammu and Kashmir who continue to pay the heaviest price.
Inam Un Nabi added that today, hundreds of party activists, social and human rights defenders and members of civil society visited the AIP office in Srinagar to express solidarity with the jailed MP.
Ina said the emotional outpouring of support shows that Er Rashid’s voice though confined behind prison walls, remains deeply alive in the hearts of the people, symbolizing their collective pain, resilience and unwavering demand for justice.
