The world is changing rapidly. Technological advancement has filled human life with countless conveniences. Today, with intelligence and hard work, humanity is achieving things that once seemed like distant dreams. Yet, despite all this progress, a painful reality confronts us: humanity itself—which should have been valued above all—is gradually declining.
Humanity takes pride in its achievements, but this progress comes at the cost of human values, love, brotherhood, and moral relationships. Earning wealth has become the ultimate goal of life. To achieve this, not only are relationships and families being sacrificed, but humanity is also losing its spiritual and moral values.
The bonds of kinship have weakened, families are disintegrating, and hearts are wounded. Grave sins such as murder have become common over trivial disputes. Deception and falsehood are now considered legitimate business practices. Politics is being stripped of ethical foundations. The respect once reserved for parents and teachers is diminishing, and our younger generation is wasting its precious time on frivolous and meaningless pursuits.
The root cause of this decline is that we have relegated humanity to a secondary position in our lives. We have abandoned the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith, turned away from the lessons of history, and neglected to implement moral principles in our daily lives. As a result, our society is drifting towards hatred, unrest, and disintegration.
Now is the time for us to collectively recognize our responsibilities. We must reflect on how humanity can be revived. To achieve this, it is essential to mold our lives in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah, recall the lessons of history, and adopt small acts of goodness in our everyday conduct.
Every individual must take part in this process. Each person should share their critiques, experiences, and observations with others so that a collective consciousness may arise. If we fail to change ourselves today, time will change us tomorrow—and take us to a place we neither wish to go nor can easily return from.
This is a moment of deep reflection for all of us: to halt this growing decline and restore humanity to its rightful and honorable place.
