Principal of Maryam Memorial Institute Pandithpora Qaziabad addresses key challenges and opportunities in education across the Himalayan region
Ikkz Ikbal, Principal of Maryam Memorial Institute Pandithpora Qaziabad, was featured as one of the eminent speakers at the ArdorComm Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2025 held in Jammu & Kashmir at Taj Vivanta, Jammu. In recognition of his contributions to advancing school education, he was presented with the award for “Impact and Innovation in School Education.”

The Summit brought together leading academicians, policymakers, institutional heads, and education specialists from across the country to deliberate on emerging trends, digital transformation, and the evolving needs of learners.
During his address, Ikkz Ikbal highlighted the unique educational challenges faced by students and teachers in the Himalayan region, particularly in Kashmir. He spoke on issues such as the digital divide, limited accessibility to modern resources, the need for teacher-centric technological training, and the importance of contextualizing pedagogy to local realities.

Ikbal emphasized that bridging learning gaps in mountainous regions requires a blend of innovative practices and equitable digital access. “Educational reform must be rooted in the ground realities of our communities. The goal is to ensure that every learner — regardless of terrain, technology, or circumstance — is empowered to thrive,” he noted.
