Srinagar, February 22, 2026: Janata Dal United (JDU) General Secretary Ayaz Darwi today extended a warm welcome to IAS officer Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid upon his appointment as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Baramulla district. This recent bureaucratic reshuffle by the Jammu & Kashmir administration, announced on February 19, 2026, posts Shri Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid, IAS (AM: 2017), to lead administrative efforts in Baramulla.
Ayaz Darwi commended the officer’s prior experience, including successful tenures as DC in Budgam (2022) and Anantnag (2023), where he focused on public service delivery, anti-corruption measures, and developmental projects. Darwi expressed confidence that under Hamid’s leadership, Baramulla will see accelerated progress in infrastructure, welfare schemes, and governance efficiency.
