Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian Raises Key Muharram 2025 Concerns in Meeting with Divisional Commissioner KashmirFocus on 10 Muharram and essential Supplies

In view of the approaching month of Muharram, Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian today attended an important meeting hosted by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir discuss essential preparations .
During the interaction, the Anjuman’s Representative on Interfaith Dialogue Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi and District Secretary (Srinagar) Syed Perviz Safvi reiterated demand of Lifting Ban on traditional Muthida Jaloos-I-Ashura ( Abiguzar to Alipark Zadibal )

The delegation emphasized the need for adequate essential supplies , particularly of rice and sugar during the month of Muharram areas.

The delegation also expressed serious concern regarding inadequate water facilities in multiple regions. Specific areas flagged during the meeting included Budgam, Sumbal Sonawari, Sofipora Pahalgam, Zadibal Mir Behri, where residents continue to face acute water shortages. The Anjuman Sharie Shian urged the administration to take immediate and coordinated steps to restore and improve water supply infrastructure in these locations before the commencement of Muharram.
