LeT Commander Behind Zaloora Encounter Gunned Down in Handwara Says Police

In a significant breakthrough, Handwara Police have solved the Zaloora, Sopore encounter case with the elimination of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Saifullah, an “A” category foreign terrorist, in an intelligence-based operation on March 17.

A police spokesperson said, “Post-operation investigations confirmed Saifullah’s involvement in the January 19, 2025, Zaloora encounter, where a security forces personnel was martyred. He was actively working to revive the LeT network along the Handwara-Sopore axis.”Officials termed his elimination as “a major success in the fight against terrorism in North Kashmir.”

Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with security forces, reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of the region. (KDC)
