Vitasta Law College Holds Legal Literacy Programme at Fakir Gujri

A Legal Literacy Programme was conducted today at Fakir Gujri by Vitasta School of Law and Humanities, Nowgam Srinagar. The objective was to create awareness among the local community about various government benefits and welfare schemes. The programme focused on educating people about their rights and entitlements, empowering them to access the facilities provided for their welfare.

The event was held under the supervision of faculty members Ms. Samreena Mehraj and Mr. Ajaz, who guided the proceedings and ensured effective dissemination of information. Students of the college played an active role in engaging with the community and contributing to the success of the programme. Special appreciation was extended to Class Representative Sheeraz, whose coordination and dedication significantly contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Samreena Mehraj, Teacher In-Charge, said, “Legal awareness is the first step towards empowerment. By educating people about their rights and the schemes meant for their welfare, we are helping them build a more secure and informed future.”

Sharing his views, Sheeraz, Class Representative, said, “It was a privilege for us as students to be part of this initiative. Such programmes not only help the community but also give us practical exposure and a sense of responsibility towards society.”

Such initiatives by Vitasta Law College play an important role in promoting legal awareness at the grassroots level and strengthening the bond between educational institutions and society.
