Srinagar, Mar 29 (KB): Sopore Police on Saturday carried out searches at residencies of individuals associated with banned outfit Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn connection with the investigation of Case FIR 42 U\/S 10,13 UA(P)Act, Sopore police today conducted multiple raids across the district, targeting the individuals associated with proscribed outfit JEI,\u201d reads a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Bulletin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese police searches were carried at the residential premises of separatist elements suspected of involvement in unlawful activities that pose a threat to public order and national security,\u201d reads the statement. \u201cThe searches were conducted after obtaining warrant from Hon\u2019ble Court of law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDuring the searches incriminating material linked to the activities of these banned outfits were seized as evidence in said FIR registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA),\u201d reads the statement, adding \u201cThe raids were conducted in the presence of Magistrates and independent witnesses to ensure full legal adherence and procedural transparency.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
