The Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) has instructed the Assistant Director of Tourism, Gulmarg, to take possession of Hotel Nedou\u2019s along with the adjoining land, currently under unauthorized occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The directive comes in compliance with recent rulings by the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir. The Supreme Court had earlier dismissed a petition concerning the property, while the High Court ordered that the land and hotel be restored to government control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an official communication, the Chief Executive Officer of GDA has directed the Assistant Director of Tourism to evict the present occupants and ensure the property is handed over to the GDA within 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
