{"id":4323,"date":"2025-08-04T11:45:56","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T11:45:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/noukeqalamnews.com\/en\/?p=4323"},"modified":"2025-08-04T11:46:46","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T11:46:46","slug":"five-arrested-in-khayam-chowk-assault-case-srinagar-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noukeqalamnews.com\/en\/five-arrested-in-khayam-chowk-assault-case-srinagar-police\/","title":{"rendered":"Five Arrested in Khayam Chowk Assault Case: Srinagar Police"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Srinagar, August 4 (GNS):<\/strong> In a decisive action against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested five individuals in connection with a violent assault that occurred during the intervening night of August 3 and 4, 2025, at Khayam Chowk in the Khanyar area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a police handout shared with GNS, the accused were allegedly involved in creating a public disturbance and physically assaulting several persons in the locality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acting swiftly, Police Station Khanyar registered <strong>FIR No. 40\/2025<\/strong> under Sections <strong>109, 115(2), 126(2), and 324(4)<\/strong> of the <em>Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the investigation, all five accused were identified and subsequently arrested. Police also seized two vehicles allegedly used in the commission of the crime \u2014 a <strong>Mahindra Scorpio N<\/strong> and a <strong>Toyota Glanza<\/strong> \u2014 as part of the ongoing probe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrested individuals have been identified as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Faheem Ahmad Khan<\/strong>, son of Mohd. Ayub Khan, resident of Botshah Mohalla, Lal Bazar, Srinagar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Talat Hassan<\/strong>, son of Ghulam Hassan Dhar, resident of Housing Colony, Chanapora, Srinagar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nadeem Malik<\/strong>, son of Bashir Ahmad Malik, resident of Natipora, Mehjoor Nagar, Srinagar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Amir Rashid Molvi<\/strong>, son of Abdul Rashid Molvi, resident of Jogilanker, Rainawari, Srinagar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh<\/strong>, son of Sheikh Nazir Ahmed, resident of Ikhrajpora, Rajbagh, Srinagar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Further investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Srinagar Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring justice for the victims, the statement concluded. <em>(GNS)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar, August 4 (GNS): In a decisive action against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested five individuals in connection with a violent assault that occurred during the intervening night of August 3 and 4, 2025, at Khayam Chowk in the Khanyar area.
