{"id":6238,"date":"2026-04-18T07:16:01","date_gmt":"2026-04-18T07:16:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/noukeqalamnews.com\/en\/?p=6238"},"modified":"2026-04-18T07:18:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T07:18:24","slug":"jk-admin-takes-over-58-schools-linked-to-banned-jamaat-e-islami","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noukeqalamnews.com\/en\/jk-admin-takes-over-58-schools-linked-to-banned-jamaat-e-islami\/","title":{"rendered":"J&amp;K Admin takes over 58 schools linked to banned Jamaat-e-Islami"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Srinagar, Apr 18: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday ordered the takeover of management committees of 58 schools linked to the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) and its Falah-e-Aam Trust, officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Official sources informed the news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the action follows adverse intelligence reports and the expiry of the schools&#8217; management validity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The School Education Department invoked Ministry of Home Affairs notifications declaring JeI an unlawful association under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;These 58 functional schools were found to be directly or indirectly affiliated with the banned outfit or its trust,&#8221; an official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy commissioners have been directed to assume control of the schools and propose fresh, verified committees to ensure that students&#8217; academic future remains unaffected, the officials added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities said the move aims to maintain quality education as per National Education Policy (NEP) norms without disruption. Government teams have been deployed to all 58 schools, they said.
