The true measure of any state lies in its justice. When justice weakens, democracy becomes a slogan and the budget turns into paperwork. The central question is simple. Does the state treat all citizens with equal responsibility?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A government employee and a private sector worker do not live under the same conditions. Their salaries, security, benefits, and future are entirely different. Yet the state places both under the same economic burden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A government employee has job security, pension, medical cover, housing support, travel allowance, and educational benefits for children. A private employee, private teacher, or small trader often survives on uncertainty. Low income, no pension, no healthcare, and no meaningful protection define their daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet despite this clear imbalance, the electricity bill is the same. The water bill is the same. The tax burden is the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not equality. This is imbalance presented as law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recently presented budget makes this divide even clearer. It arrived with large claims, but little relief for the poor. Private employees, low income families, and ordinary workers were once again left with promises instead of policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no meaningful cut in electricity tariffs. No real reduction in water charges. No visible safety net for private sector workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inflation rises. Salaries remain fixed. Daily expenses grow. The budget speaks in numbers, but people live in realities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who already have protection receive more. Those who live without it are told to wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Holy Qur\u2019an rejects such concentration of wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo that wealth may not merely circulate among the rich among you.\u201d Surah Al Hashr, 7<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This principle is clear. Public wealth must not serve only the privileged. A budget that protects the secure and neglects the vulnerable fails the moral test of justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Qur\u2019an does not call for blind equality. It calls for justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIndeed, Allah commands justice and excellence.\u201d Surah An Nahl, 90<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice does not mean treating unequal lives in the same way. Justice means recognizing difference and responding fairly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A person with secure income and state protection cannot be taxed and billed like someone living one unpaid month away from collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet this is exactly what the present system does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The private sector worker carries the burden of inflation, insecurity, and silence. The budget offers little in return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If democracy means government by the people, then the question remains. Where are the people in this budget, especially those who form the economic majority but remain institutionally invisible?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The issue is not that government employees receive support. The issue is that private workers and low income citizens remain exposed without protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A just state must do three things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It must provide direct relief for low income households. It must link taxes and utility charges to real income levels. It must build legal and economic protection for private sector workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No state can remain stable without justice. No budget can be called public welfare if it ignores those who need it most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
