Srinagar | 26 July 2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Kashmir Mountain Biking Association (KMBA) successfully organised the Visually Impaired Cross Country Run 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting inclusive sports, equal opportunities, and the empowerment of persons with visual impairments. The race commenced from Duck Park and concluded at Crescent Public School, Naseem Bagh, where visually impaired boys and girls showcased extraordinary courage, determination, and sporting spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The event was flagged off by Hon’ble MLA Zadibal, Mr. Tanvir Sadiq, in the presence of SSP Traffic Srinagar, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed, KMBA President, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, and KMBA Chairman, Mr. Faheem Ali Punjabi (Retd. SSP, J&K Police). Following the successful completion of the race, the winners and participants were felicitated for their outstanding performances and unwavering determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The programme was graced by Er. Mohammad Shahid (Director, Crescent Public School), Mr. Tariq Bakhtu (Chairman, Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute), Mr. Imran Shah (Chairman, Legends School of Education), Mr. Mohammad Abdul Qadir (Principal, Crescent Public School), Dr. Sheikh Ghulam Rasool (RTI Activist), Madam Bilqis Mir (Aqua Woman of Kashmir, Olympic Jury Member, International Athlete & National Coach), along with several eminent personalities, sports lovers, and athletes from across Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Muneer Ahmad, Organising Head, KMBA, President, Tasveer-E-Kainaat Welfare Organisation (TKWO), and Health & Medical Coordinator, United Welfare Foundation of India (UWFI), UT Jammu & Kashmir. He was supported by the dedicated team of Tasveer-E-Kainaat Welfare Organisation (TKWO), including Mrs. Rehana Rashid Bhat (General Secretary), Mrs. Roshan Ara (Vice President), Ms. Ruqaya Wani (Accountant), along with KMBA volunteers and organising committee members, whose collective efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The programme was professionally hosted by Mr. Eidi Gulzar, a respected member of KMBA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking on the occasion, the organisers described the event as a celebration of courage, inclusion, and equality, emphasizing that determination is stronger than limitation.
