{"id":6996,"date":"2026-10-02T05:26:21","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T05:26:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/noukeqalamnews.com\/en\/?p=6996"},"modified":"2026-10-02T05:27:29","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T05:27:29","slug":"local-parents-raise-voice-over-nursery-admissions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noukeqalamnews.com\/en\/local-parents-raise-voice-over-nursery-admissions\/","title":{"rendered":"LOCAL PARENTS RAISE VOICE OVER NURSERY ADMISSIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Srinagar 02\/ Oct\/26:<\/em> Rajbagh &amp; Jawahar Nagar Parents Seek Due Consideration for Children from School\u2019s Immediate Vicinity\u201cThis School Has Been Part of Our Community for Generations\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents from Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar and adjoining areas have appealed to the management of Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School, Rajbagh, to consider giving due preference to children from the immediate vicinity during Nursery admissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to concerned parents, families from these localities have had a longstanding association with the institution, particularly during the school\u2019s earlier years, when many neighbourhood families sought admission for their children in the Nursery classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents say that as the demand for admission has increased over the years, they want the school management to consider whether a clear and transparent provision for children from nearby localities can be incorporated into the admission process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are not asking for anyone else to be excluded. We are simply requesting that children living in Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar and the surrounding areas should also receive due consideration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Concerned Parent, Rajbagh<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another parent from Jawahar Nagar said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis institution has been part of our neighbourhood for generations. We hope the management will recognise that connection while considering Nursery admissions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>APPEAL TO SCHOOL MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parents have appealed to Principal Sr. Mary Jarsi and the school management to look into the concern sympathetically and consider a fair, transparent and balanced approach that takes the school\u2019s relationship with its surrounding communities into account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe respect the school\u2019s admission policy and standards. Our humble request is that the voice of the local community should also be heard.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014Concerned Parent, Jawahar Nagar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents emphasise that their request is not against children from other parts of Srinagar.
