Baramulla: The Youth People’s Conference, Baramulla District, held its first Youth Convention at the historic D A K Bungalow on Sunday, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the party’s youth wing under its recently appointed district leadership. The event was organized and led by Mohammad Zubair Mir, the newly elected District President, Youth People’s Conference Baramulla, and drew significant participation from young people across the region.
The convention saw an impressive turnout, with approximately 120 to 160 youth attending from various villages and wards of Baramulla. Participants engaged with party leadership on issues of political representation, employment concerns, local development priorities, and the growing role of youth in shaping Kashmir’s political landscape.
Supporting the event’s coordination and structure, Faraz Ashraf—a young leader played an important role in planning and ensuring the smooth execution of the convention. His contribution was noted by several attendees and organizers.

Also present was Altaf Saab, a respected veteran and long-serving member of the People’s Conference, whose presence added historical continuity and experience to the youth-focused gathering.
During their addresses, the senior leaders emphasized the importance of active youth participation in political processes and community decision-making. They highlighted that Baramulla’s younger generation is increasingly stepping forward with confidence and ambition, marking a shift toward more dynamic, grassroots-driven leadership in the district.
Speakers also appreciated the enthusiasm of the attendees, noting that the convention reflects a growing belief among the youth that their voices matter and their involvement can shape the future trajectory of the region.
With strong engagement, positive energy, and constructive dialogue, the event concluded on a confident note. Organizers described it as a successful beginning for a series of youth-centric initiatives planned under the Youth People’s Conference Baramulla in the coming months.
