When Arman’s family chose Rukhsar as his wife, their hope was simple: a home full of warmth, kindness, and peace. They did not care about wealth or status. They saw her simple nature and believed she would be a loyal life partner. But appearances can be deceiving. What seemed like humility was only a carefully made mask. Over time, Rukhsar’s true nature started to appear, turning Arman’s world upside down.
Arman entered marriage with faith and dreams. He wanted mornings full of smiles and evenings of calm. When children came, his joy grew even more. Their laughter filled the house, and their innocence became his greatest treasure. For years, he thanked Allah for these blessings, believing his family was complete and happy.
But happiness did not last. Slowly, Rukhsar’s warmth disappeared. Smiles changed to silence, care to indifference. At first, Arman thought these were normal differences in any marriage. Yet the truth slowly became impossible to ignore—her heart had never truly been with him. Living under the same roof was just a cover for her to follow her selfish interests. Her interests were elsewhere, where security, status, and control mattered more than love or companionship.
Having grown up in a small, modest home, Rukhsar struggled to adjust to the comfort and stability of her husband’s house, and shamelessly claimed that even its large and spacious rooms were “too small” for her.
She boldly demanded more, as if comfort alone was not enough—alas, a demand that showed pride more than need. Her marriage to Arman had been guided by her parents, chosen not only for love but for the security of a steady income. Once inside, her behavior became harsher. She disrespected Arman’s dignity, treated his kind parents coldly, and turned small disagreements into long conflicts.
Over time, her demands could not be ignored. Small remarks about money turned into firm conditions. She tried to control his finances, leaving Arman with little freedom. It was not just about money—it was about power. She wanted him dependent, without authority, living a life where he had little say.
Yet Arman stayed strong. With patience and dignity, he refused to give in. His calm strength made her even more frustrated. When she could not dominate him at home, she took her battles outside. Police stations, women’s forums, courts, neighbors, relatives, and colleagues became stages for her accusations. Every move was planned to pressure and trap him.
A decade or more after their marriage, the deepest humiliation came when she, with her family’s support, filed false domestic violence and dowry charges against him and his parents. The irony was bitter: Arman and his parents had never asked for or received dowry, nor were Rukhsar’s parents ever in a position to give any. Her family had no steady income and lived modestly. Yet, years later, that silence was turned into claims of greed and theft. Standing accused in police stations and courts, despite doing nothing wrong, hurt him more than any material loss ever could.
This ordeal that Arman has been facing may seem like a one-sided story, but it is true—not only his own, but also of thousands of men like him. It is what he has seen and experienced while standing in courts, women’s forums, and police stations, where nowadays most women file false, frivolous, or fictitious complaints. Yet, in the routine course of proceedings, through fair trials and careful investigations, the truth eventually comes out. Our judiciary, police, and even women’s forums consistently work to deliver justice, ensuring that false claims are identified and addressed properly.
It may also be true that some men and their families may actually demand dowry or commit domestic violence against women. But we must not ignore that, today, movements like “Men Too” show how many men suffer from abuse, mental stress, and unfair financial or other demands from their wives. Many men have been pushed by situations created by their wives and in-laws to take extreme steps, even ending their lives.
But the deepest pain was yet to come—when she involved the children. The little ones who once brought him joy became tools of manipulation. Their innocent hearts were influenced by false stories, straining the bond between father and children, leaving Arman with grief no parent should face.
Every day, Arman sees men like himself—facing false claims, broken homes, and children taken away—but he also sees that the justice system, through its proper procedures, eventually reveals the truth.
And yet, Arman endured. He faced insults, accusations, and betrayal with patience. He chose silence over revenge because his heart stayed with his children, and because he had once deeply loved and cared for his wife. Even when physically apart, he never left his children in spirit. He prayed for them, missed them, and hoped that one day they would know the truth.
This is not only Arman’s story. It reflects the struggles of many families today, where pride and greed are stronger than honesty and sacrifice, where children become pawns in control battles, and where homes that were once warm turn cold and tense.
Yet, hope remains. Not all women are like Rukhsar. There are wives who are loving, loyal, and wise—who stand by their husbands with care and respect. And not all men are weak. There are husbands like Arman—faithful, patient, and strong—who protect their dignity even in hardship. Life is not all dark; goodness still survives.
Arman’s life is full of struggle. He was betrayed but not defeated. He lost his peace but kept his dignity. He was hurt, yet his faith stayed strong. He lives for his children, for truth, and for values that no one can take away. Questions remain: Will his patience and honesty survive the storm Rukhsar created? Will her lies be exposed? Will the children one day see the sacrifices of the father who never left them in heart—or will they stay blinded by illusions?
Only time will tell. Until then, Arman walks quietly under the weight of truth, trusting that Allah—who sees every hidden intention—will show the reality. When that day comes, shadows will fade, and only the light will remain. Who will stand with honour, and who will be left with nothing but regret? The answer remains hidden, waiting to be revealed.
And on that day, Arman’s silent patience will speak louder than Rukhsar’s endless accusations.
