A video circulating on social media has come to the notice of Baramulla Police, wherein an individual is seen assaulting an elderly man, reportedly his father.
Taking cognizance of the matter, a case has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg under relevant sections of law. The accused, identified as Manzoor Ahmed R/o Hajibal, Tangmarg, has been detained by the police.
Further investigation into the matter is underway and strict legal action shall follow as per law.
Baramulla Police reiterates that any form of violence, especially against senior citizens, will be dealt with firmly and urges the public to report such incidents promptly.
