BWJA Condoles Demise of Chairman Karamat Qayoom’s Sister

Baramulla, May 25: The Baramulla Working Journalists Association (BWJA), headed by President Gulzar Zargar and General Secretary Umar Rashid, on Monday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of the sister of Chairman Karamat Qayoom.

The association members including Dawood Sheikh, Aashiq Mir, Irshad Bhat, Yaqoob Lala, Rizwan Mir, Arawat Mehraj, Fayaz Bukhari, Inayat Sofi, Nisar Malik, Arshid Farooq and Nadeem Wani expressed heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family.

A delegation of working journalists visited the bereaved family at Ushkura to offer condolences and express solidarity during this difficult time. The members prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss.

Speaking on the occasion, President Gulzar Zargar said that the entire journalist fraternity of Baramulla stands with Karamat Qayoom Sahib in this hour of grief and prayed that Almighty Allah grants the departed soul the highest place in Jannah.

Among others who visited the bereaved family to offer condolences included Altaf Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Senior Advocate Abdul Salam Rather, socio-political activist Asif Lone and several other political activists and leaders.

Meanwhile, political leaders, members of the traders’ fraternity, social activists, civil society members and journalists continued to visit the residence of Haji Karamat Qayoom at Ushkura on the second day to offer condolences over the demise of his sister.

The deceased passed away on Sunday after a brief illness, leaving her family, relatives and well-wishers in deep sorrow.

During the condolence gathering, special prayers were offered for the departed soul. People prayed that Almighty Allah grants her the highest place in Jannah and blesses the bereaved family with patience and strength to bear this irreparable loss.
