Srinagar, July 15: PDP leader Waheed Ur Rehman Parra has strongly criticized the BJP for what he described as an attempt to “communalize” the Urdu language, calling the move “dangerous and disgraceful” and a threat to Jammu & Kashmir’s cultural identity.
Reacting to the Central Administrative Tribunal’s (CAT) decision to stay the Urdu language requirement in the Naib Tehsildar examination, Parra alleged that judicial institutions are succumbing to political pressure.
He emphasized that Urdu is not associated with any particular religion but represents the soul of Jammu & Kashmir’s heritage, governance, and social unity.
