New Delhi :/// The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Amir Rashid Ali of Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir, for helping suicide bomber Dr Umar Un Nabi carry out the Delhi attack that killed 10 people and injured 32.

Amir was detained in Delhi after investigators confirmed that the white i20 used in the November 10 blast was registered in his name. The NIA says he travelled to the capital to assist Umar in obtaining the vehicle, which was later converted into a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED).

According to the agency, Amir actively conspired with Umar, an Assistant Professor of General Medicine at Al Falah University in Faridabad, to execute the bombing near the Red Fort. The NIA added that Amir had facilitated the purchase of the car that was ultimately used in the attack
