Anantnag, September 19:: National Conference Vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah today visited the site where a Chinar tree was uprooted by strong winds during the night and fell onto two residential houses, causing partial damage to the structures. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported.
During his visit, Imran Shah interacted with the affected families and local residents, assessed the damage, and assured them of his full support. He stated that the matter would be brought to the attention of the concerned district authorities and that all possible measures would be taken to ensure timely relief and resolution of the issues faced by the affected families.
The strong winds also caused significant damage to the area’s electricity transmission lines, disrupting power infrastructure. Imran Shafi held discussions on the spot with the Naib-Tehsildar Achabal and concerned officials, urging prompt action for restoration of essential services and necessary assistance to the affected residents.
He also took up the matter with the concerned officials of the PDD and stressed the need for immediate restoration of the damaged power lines.
Imran Shah was accompanied during the visit by NC Block President Achabal Abdul Salam Dar and several senior party workers, who also interacted with the affected residents and took stock of the situation.
