Open letter To The Governor of Jammu Kashmir UT: From kashmir Bar Association

Subject: Urgent Intervention Required Harassment of Advocates in Revenue Courts across Kashmir Valley.

Respected Sir,

We the Advocates of Kashmir Bar Association compelled to bring to your attention the deplorable state of affairs prevailing in the Revenue Courts.Despite being officers of the court,we are consistently facing tremendous challenges and harassment at the hands of Revenue Department officials.Every registration process turns into a nightmare with officials resorting to humiliation and intimidation.

We are at a loss to understand why this behavior continues unchecked,despite our efforts to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor.It seems that the officials are above the law, and their actions are not being held accountable.

We request your immediate intervention in this matter and urge you to take strong action against the erring officials under the law.The lack of action will be perceived as a failure of the system and we will be left with no choice but to take collective action.

All the lawyers of District Srinagar will come out on the roads, and we will be forced to protest against the injustices we face.We hope that it will not come to that and your intervention will resolve this issue amicably.

Specifically, we request:

1. Immediate action against the officials responsible for harassing and humiliating Advocates.
2. A committee to be formed to investigate the matter and submit a report.
3. Implementation of a code of conduct for Revenue Department officials to ensure a respectful and professional environment in Revenue Courts.

We hope for a prompt response and resolution to this issue.
