Strengthening the ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking, Baramulla Police arrested four notorious drug peddlers during naka checking on the Janbazpora Chakloo link road near Masjid Sideeq, Chakloo. On spotting the police team, the accused attempted to flee but were swiftly chased and apprehended.
Arrested Individuals:
- Umar Hassan Ghazi R/o Chakloo
- Irfan Ahmad Elahi @ Raashid Koutur R/o Chakloo
- Mushtaq Ahmad Mir R/o Chakloo
- Saqlain Ahmad Bhat R/o Buddan Saripara Sopore
From their possession, police recovered 1 kg 351 gram of Ganja (Charas/Charas-like substance) and 05 gram Heroin-like substance.
Accordingly, FIR No. 213/2025 has been registered at Police Station Baramulla under sections 8/20, 21 & 29 NDPS Act. Further investigation is in progress to identify the supply chain behind them.
