PDP Youth Leader Yasir Naik Extends Support to Youth for Earning Through Generating Employment, Helps Restore Electricity After Long-Pending Bill Issue

Baramulla: PDP Youth leader Yasir Naik has extended timely support to a local youth from Old Town Baramulla, enabling him to earn a livelihood through self-employment and also resolving a long-pending electricity issue that had kept the youth’s family in darkness for nearly one year.

The beneficiary, Javed Ahmad of Old Town, stated that he had purchased an e-rickshaw under the Mission Yuva scheme on a finance basis. Due to financial hardship, he was unable to complete the remaining work required to make the vehicle operational, leaving him without a source of income.

Yasir Naik intervened and helped Javed complete and maintain the e-rickshaw, making it road-ready. To further support him, Yasir Naik promoted Javed’s service through his social media platforms, shared his contact number publicly, and appealed to people to avail his services. This initiative resulted in regular service calls and steady income for the young entrepreneur.

In addition, Yasir Naik engaged Javed in providing free night e-rickshaw services for needy patients travelling from Old Town to GMC Baramulla. The expenses for this humanitarian service were borne personally by Yasir Naik, helping patients in emergencies while also ensuring dignity and continuity of work for the youth.

Apart from employment support, Yasir Naik also resolved a serious household issue faced by Javed’s family. Their electricity connection had remained disconnected for nearly a year due to a long-pending electricity bill, which the family was unable to clear because of financial constraints. Through intervention and assistance, the issue was addressed and electricity was restored, bringing relief to the family.

Expressing gratitude, Javed Ahmad said that Yasir Naik supported him during the most difficult phase of his life and helped him move from darkness to stability. He said that today he is earning, improving his condition gradually, and living with dignity.

Residents of the area have appreciated the initiative, stating that such efforts reflect practical and people-centric leadership focused on empowerment and real change at the ground level.

Yasir Naik reiterated that supporting youth employment and standing with families in distress will remain a priority, adding that small interventions can bring lasting change in people’s lives.
