New Delhi, Jan 14: A Delhi court on Wednesday convicted Kashmiri separatist and Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Additional Sessions Judge Chanderjit Singh found her guilty under sections 18 (conspiracy) and 38 (membership of a terrorist organisation). The court will announce the sentence on January 17.
Andrabi, arrested in April 2018, was charged by the National Investigation Agency with waging war against India through hate speeches, criminal conspiracy, and UAPA violations, along with two associates. She founded the all-women separatist group Dukhtaran-e-Millat in 1987, which was later banned.
