Students of PM Shri Government Girls Middle School Jindrah Visit Food Craft Institute Jammu for Educational Exposure

Jammu, February 28: The students of PM Shri Government Girls Middle School Jindrah participated in an educational exposure visit to the Food Craft Institute Jammu, an esteemed institute functioning under the Department of Skill Development, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, located at Nagrota. The visit was organised with the objective of providing practical exposure and career awareness in the field of hospitality and skill-based education.

The visiting students were warmly received by Jyoti Bhatti, Principal food Craft Institute Jammu, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of vocational education and professional training in today’s evolving job market. She encouraged students to consider hospitality and culinary arts as promising career options.

During the visit, students toured various departments of the institute, including the kitchen, library, computer section, bakery, and housekeeping sections. They closely observed professional food preparation techniques, baking procedures, hygiene standards, table service methods, and housekeeping operations. The faculty members, including Rajinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Prince, Anayatulla Batt, and Reyaz Ahmed Lone, conducted live demonstrations and explained the functioning of modern equipment and training facilities. The interactive sessions enabled students to gain first-hand knowledge of hospitality management and service standards.

It was also highlighted that the institute frequently hosts exposure visits from various schools and maintains regular interaction with industry professionals to provide students with real-world experience and practical insights. Such collaborations bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

As part of its outreach initiatives, faculty members of Food Craft Institute Jammu regularly visit schools and panchayats to create awareness about hospitality careers, skill development programmes, and admission opportunities. These efforts aim to promote vocational education and empower youth with employable skills.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of the Incharge Headmaster of PM Shri Government Girls Middle School Jindrah, Sh. Shamash Din, who appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of experiential learning. The visit was coordinated by Sh. Sadaket Ali, Teacher, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the programme.

The school administration expressed sincere gratitude to the Principal and staff of Food Craft Institute Jammu for their warm hospitality and for making the exposure visit a highly informative and enriching experience for the students.
