Baramulla, May 20: Ayaz Darwi, General Secretary of JD(U) in Jammu and Kashmir and a well-known socio-political activist, is likely to join a regional political party, according to sources.
Darwi has remained active in public and political affairs and is widely known for raising issues concerning youth and the community.
Sources said he is in advanced talks with a mainstream regional party, though no official announcement has been made so far.
