Srinagar, May 22: In a major political development, senior leaders of the Jammu & Kashmir unit of Janata Dal (United) have reportedly resigned from the party, according to political sources.
Those said to have stepped down include Ayaz Darwi, State General Secretary (Organisation), Ishfaq Rather, State Secretary JKUT, and Tariq Parra, District President Baramulla.
The reported resignations have sparked discussions in political circles over possible political realignments and the future strategy of the party in Kashmir. However, no official confirmation has been issued so far by the party leadership or the leaders concerned.
Observers believe that if more senior and district-level leaders resign in the coming days, it could affect the party’s organisational setup in Jammu & Kashmir.
More details are awaited…..
