PDP Holds Joining Programme in Baramulla, New Members Criticise NC Government Over ‘Unfulfilled Promises’

Baramulla, July 19: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Baramulla today organised a joining programme at Town Baramulla, which was led by Yasir Naik, District Youth President Baramulla. The programme witnessed the participation of senior party leaders and scores of local residents who joined the PDP, reaffirming their faith in the party’s vision and leadership.

The programme was attended by Mohammad Shaffi Bhat (District Social Media Incharge), Senior Leader Ghulam Mohammad Dar, Nazir Ahmad Kar, Ghulam Qadir Wani, and Fazil Ahmad (Youth Social Media), who warmly welcomed the new entrants into the party fold.

Speaking on the occasion, the newly joined members expressed disappointment over what they described as the National Conference government’s failure to fulfil the promises and commitments made to the people before the Assembly elections. They said that despite high expectations, the government has failed to address the aspirations and concerns of the people.

The speakers stated that Baramulla witnessed significant development during the tenure of the Peoples Democratic Party, particularly under the leadership of the Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Sahib. They described him as a visionary leader of Jammu and Kashmir whose people-centric policies, developmental initiatives, and commitment to inclusive governance continue to be remembered across the region.

The new entrants said they have joined the PDP with the resolve to strengthen the party and work collectively for the welfare of the people. They pledged to take the party’s message to every village and locality and committed themselves to strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level.

Addressing the gathering, Yasir Naik welcomed the new members into the PDP family and said that the increasing number of people joining the party reflects the growing public confidence in the PDP’s ideology and leadership. He urged party workers to remain connected with the people, continue highlighting public issues, and work tirelessly to strengthen the organisation across Baramulla district.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge by party leaders and workers to further expand the organisational structure of PDP Baramulla and continue serving the people with dedication and sincerity.
