Baramulla : 27 July : The recent statement made by Ms. Mehbooba Mufti at Jantar Mantar is highly irresponsible, deeply insensitive, and unbecoming of a leader who has held the highest constitutional office in Jammu & Kashmir. It reflects confusion, failure and ambiguity
Every innocent Kashmiri life matters. Any attempt to make sweeping remarks that could be interpreted as questioning the innocence of civilians who suffered during periods of unrest only adds to the pain of thousands of families who have already endured decades of violence, terrorism, and instability.
The people of Kashmir have suffered immensely over the last three decades. They have lost loved ones, livelihoods, education, and opportunities. Instead of reopening old wounds through divisive political rhetoric, leaders should focus on acknowledging the suffering of innocent civilians and working towards lasting peace, justice, and development.
It is time to move beyond the politics of victimhood and blame. The youth of Jammu & Kashmir are demanding employment, investment, quality education, better healthcare, transparent governance, and economic progress—not provocative statements that deepen divisions.
Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) firmly believes that no innocent citizen should ever be stereotyped or judged because of the circumstances of conflict. Every allegation regarding any incident must be examined through due process and evidence, not political assumptions or public rhetoric.
We also believe that the prolonged suffering of the people of Jammu & Kashmir cannot be addressed by repeating the same political narratives that have dominated the region for decades. The people deserve accountability from every political party that has been part of governance and has had the opportunity to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
Our commitment is to stand with every innocent victim, uphold the Constitution, promote peace and harmony, and work for a future where the youth of Kashmir are known for their talent, education, entrepreneurship, and contribution to the nation—not for the politics of conflict.
