Independence Day 2026 was celebrated with great patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and public participation across District Baramulla. The main function was held at Prof. Showkat Ali Stadium, Baramulla, where a huge gathering witnessed the celebrations.
The National Flag was unfurled by Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Javid Ahmad Dar, in the presence of senior officers, public representatives and a large gathering of people. The celebrations reflected the spirit of patriotism, national unity and pride in the nation.
Besides the main function at Baramulla, Independence Day celebrations were held at various locations across the district. At the sub-divisional level, senior civil and police officers hoisted the National Flag and participated in the celebrations.
A large number of people from different sections of society participated enthusiastically in these programmes, making the celebrations vibrant and memorable. The widespread participation across the district reflected a strong sense of unity, patriotism and collective pride in the National Flag.
