Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas Meets Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Bengaluru, Discusses Peace and Interfaith Harmony

Bengaluru, August 15, 2026: Hujjat-ul-Islam Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas, General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, met renowned spiritual leader and humanitarian Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder of the Art of Living Foundation, at the Kaveri Art of Living Ashram in Bengaluru on Saturday.

The meeting focused on promoting peace, strengthening interfaith understanding, and encouraging dialogue across religious and cultural communities.

Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas highlighted the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian’s efforts to promote interfaith dialogue and community harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed the importance of bridging social and religious divides through shared human values, education, mutual respect, and peaceful engagement.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar emphasised that lasting peace begins with inner transformation and grows through compassion, service, and cooperation among communities.

Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting dialogue, reducing conflict, and fostering a culture of peace, understanding, and coexistence.
