Anantnag: August, 16:: National Conference Senior leader and Vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah today held a meeting with political workers at Bakshi colony Shirpora, in Main Town Anantnag, where a number of PDP workers joined the National Conference, expressing their faith in the party’s policies and leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Imran Shah, while hitting out at PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, alleged that the genuine issues and concerns of the people of Anantnag had remained neglected. He said that people had reposed their faith in the PDP on multiple occasions with the expectation that their problems would be addressed, but several key public issues continued to remain unresolved.

He said that the Omar Abdullah-led government was committed to pursuing a rational and equitable development policy across Jammu and Kashmir, and expressed hope that Anantnag would receive its due share of development and attention.

Imran Shah further expressed hope that in the upcoming Cabinet expansion, Anantnag would receive due representation, saying that stronger representation would help in effectively highlighting the concerns of the people and expediting the resolution of several matters of public importance.

He welcomed the workers who joined the National Conference and said that the party would continue to work towards strengthening its grassroots presence and addressing the aspirations and genuine concerns of the people.
