“Shah Urges LG & CM to Probe Alleged Anantnag Municipal Council Irregularities”
Anantnag, September 21:: National Conference (NC) Senior Leader and Vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, today visited Laizbal, Dangerpora and (KMD) General Bus Stand, Anantnag, where he interacted with members of the general public and representatives of the Drivers Association.
During his interaction at the KMD General Bus Stand, Shah assured the Drivers Association that the macadamisation of the KMD Adda main road would be taken up within one month. He stated that the process is already underway and expressed hope that the long-pending issue would be resolved at the earliest, providing much-needed relief to drivers, commuters and the general public.
Imran Shah also urged the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir to take serious note of the alleged irregularities in the functioning of the Municipal Council Anantnag during the previous LG administration.
He stated that, as per information available to him, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Crime Branch have already examined and taken previous records under scrutiny, but the public is still awaiting further directions and action in the matter.
“The people of Anantnag town have been waiting for clarity and appropriate action for a considerable period. The concerned authorities must ensure transparency, accountability and timely resolution of the issues concerning the public interest,” Shah said.
He reiterated that the concerns of the people, transporters and business community of Anantnag should receive due attention and that pending civic and developmental issues must be addressed in a time-bound and transparent manner.
