Awareness Programme on Organ Donation Organised at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing Baramulla

Baramulla, May 25: An awareness programme on organ donation was organised by the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization Jammu & Kashmir (SOTTO J&K) at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Baramulla, with the objective of spreading awareness about the importance of organ donation and encouraging students to become ambassadors of this noble cause.
The programme was conducted with the support and guidance of Sister Vanitha, Principal, St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Baramulla.
The proceedings of the event were anchored by Ms. Saiqa Akhter, faculty member, while Ms. Insha Javid, Ms. Seerat Bashir, and Mrs. Sheela coordinated the programme successfully and ensured enthusiastic participation of the students.
Dr. Ameetpal Kour attended the programme as the Guest of Honour and motivated the students and faculty members by sharing inspiring success stories of organ donors. She highlighted the life-saving impact of organ donation and encouraged everyone to come forward in support of the humanitarian cause.
As part of the programme, a quiz competition on organ donation was also conducted. Ms. Yasmeena Manzoor, Ms. Suzein Teji, and Ms. Anu jointly secured the first position. The winners were felicitated for their outstanding performance and active participation.
The programme concluded with an interactive session during which students and faculty members expressed their commitment towards spreading awareness about organ donation and promoting the message of saving lives through organ donation.
