Srinagar, July 04: Career Defence School (CDS) organised a Counsellors’ Meet in Srinagar on Saturday, bringing together counsellors, career mentors and education professionals for an interactive session on guiding students towards competitive examinations and career opportunities.

The programme focused on strengthening career counselling and creating greater awareness about opportunities in the National Defence Academy (NDA), NEET and other competitive examinations. The session emphasised the role of counsellors in helping students identify their strengths, choose suitable career paths and prepare effectively for national level entrance examinations.

Over 60 participating counsellors shared their experiences and insights on the challenges faced by students, the need for timely career guidance and the importance of developing confidence, discipline and long term academic planning among young aspirants.

Speaking on the occasion, Founder and CEO of Career Group, Er. Vinay, highlighted the institution’s commitment to providing quality coaching, mentorship, NCC training, sports development and personality building under one platform. He said the aim is to ensure that students receive the right guidance, resources and motivation to excel in competitive examinations and build successful careers.

Er. Vinay also stressed the importance of close collaboration between schools, counsellors and educational institutions to help students make informed career decisions at the right stage of their academic journey.

The organisers said the event served as a meaningful platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening collaboration between educators and career counsellors, and reinforcing a shared commitment to empowering students through informed career guidance.

The programme concluded with an interactive question and answer session, during which counsellors discussed practical approaches to improving career awareness and supporting students in making well informed educational and professional choices.
