Imran Shah hails development push in Anantnag, urges timely completion of Maternity Hospital.

“Several Youth Join National Conference in Bulbul Nowgam”

Anantnag, October 23: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) District Vice President Imran Amin Shah has welcomed today’s developmental initiatives in Anantnag, terming the renewed focus on infrastructure and civic amenities an important step towards addressing the long-pending needs of the people.

Addressing a gathering at Bulbul Nowgam in Central Anantnag, Shah said that a large number of people, particularly youth, joined the National Conference during the programme. He said that the participation of young people reflected renewed interest in the party and its grassroots activities.

Imran Shah lauded Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for the developmental initiatives being undertaken in Anantnag and said that the government’s focus on roads, drinking-water infrastructure and other public facilities would have a direct impact on people’s daily lives.

He referred today’s inauguration of public projects and laying of foundation stones for development works in the district, including Jal Jeevan Mission water-supply schemes at Semthan, Shoul Sarsuna and Chontipora-Baghwanpor, besides the Ashajipora–Donipawa road upgradation and a steel girder bridge over Nallah Brengi at Her-Kandiwara. According to the details cited by Shah, these projects collectively represent a significant investment in strengthening basic infrastructure and civic amenities.

Shah also stressed the need for the timely construction of the Maternity and Child Care Hospital in Anantnag, stating that funds have already been allocated by the J&K Government for the project. He urged the concerned authorities to ensure identification of the site so that the project progresses without further delay so that people, particularly women and children, can benefit from improved and dignified healthcare facilities closer to home.

Imran Shah said that development must ultimately be measured by the improvements it brings to the everyday lives of people and expressed hope that the government would continue to accord priority to Anantnag’s infrastructure, healthcare, connectivity and civic needs.

He further called upon the newly joined youth to remain actively connected with the grassroots and contribute constructively to public life and community development.

Shah was accompanied by NC Block President Achabal Ab Salam Dar, Vice block President Gull Mohammad Dar and other prominent workers.
