Javid Hassan Beigh Questions Shoaib Lone’s Version of Party’s Founding

As the PDP approaches its Foundation Day on 28 July, it is important that the party’s history is presented accurately and truthfully. The People’s Democratic Party was founded on 28 July 1999 and contested the parliamentary elections later that year on the “Qalam and Dawaat” symbol. Late Dr. Lone Sahib was then serving as a doctor in government service.
In light of certain recent claims, I would like to place a few questions before Shoib Lone Sahib:

The PDP was founded on 28th July 1999. The party contested the parliamentary elections held later that year on the symbol of Qalam and Dawaat. Dr. Lone was a doctor and was in government service.

Here are a few questions for his son, Shoib Lone Sahib:

1. How can he claim that he and his father were among the founder members of the PDP when his father joined the PDP only a few days before the Sangrama elections of 2002?
2. The claim that he chose the symbol of the party is also absurd, because the party had been allocated the symbol way back in 1999.
3. After the death of Honourable Lone Sahib, who indirectly blamed PDP for lone Sahib’s assassination? Please explain. ?
4. Shoib had already declared his decision to contest the elections from Sangrama as an independent candidate months before my name was announced by the PDP as its candidate.
5. He received the support of the National Conference, as well as that of some very important people belonging to the PDP and some others whom I do not wish to name.

Now that he has joined the PDP, I wish him all the best. However, at his age and with the experience he has, it would be better for him to speak the truth.
