Srinagar, July 24, 2026: Ayaz Darwi, State General Secretary of Janata Dal (United), Jammu & Kashmir, has criticized the National Conference (NC) over its protest at Jantar Mantar, stating that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are looking for practical solutions to their problems rather than symbolic political demonstrations.
Darwi said that while peaceful protest is a democratic right, political parties must prioritize delivering tangible results on issues affecting the common people, including unemployment, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and development.
“The people of Jammu & Kashmir need results, not political optics. Public representatives should focus on constructive engagement and meaningful governance instead of creating headlines through symbolic protests,” he said.
He urged all political parties to work together in the interest of the people and adopt a responsible, development-oriented approach that addresses the real concerns of citizens.
Darwi reiterated that Janata Dal (United) remains committed to constructive politics, transparency, accountability, and people-centric governance, with the welfare and progress of Jammu & Kashmir as its foremost priority.
