Baramulla, July 19: A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir Employees Social Welfare Association (JKESWA), led by its President, Ms. Asiya Iqbal, a renowned social worker and sports promoter, called on MLA Baramulla, Mr. Javid Hassan Beigh, to discuss issues concerning public welfare, women’s empowerment, youth development, and social progress.
During the meeting, various matters of public importance were discussed, with particular emphasis on strengthening initiatives aimed at the welfare and empowerment of women across Baramulla district.
Speaking after the meeting, Ms. Asiya Iqbal appreciated the cordial reception extended by the MLA and commended his respectful and encouraging approach towards women.
“Mr. Javid Hassan Beigh received us with warmth and dignity. Personally, he treated me like his younger sister, reflecting his deep respect for women. He assured me that he would always stand with the daughters and sisters of Baramulla and extend every possible support for their welfare and empowerment. His words were reassuring and inspiring,” she said.
Ms. Iqbal described Mr. Beigh as a humble, courteous, and dignified public representative whose conduct reflects the qualities of a true gentleman. She said leaders who value respect, equality, and public service play an important role in building a stronger and more inclusive society.
She further expressed hope that JKESWA and the office of the MLA would continue to work in close coordination on initiatives promoting women’s welfare, youth engagement, sports, education, and community development.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation for the overall welfare and inclusive development of the people of Baramulla.
