Three-Day First Phase Census Training Session Inaugurated at Govt Boys Degree College Baramulla

Baramulla, May 08:
The three-day first phase training programme for Supervisors and Enumerators under Census 2026–27 was inaugurated today at Government Boys Degree College Baramulla by Tehsildar Baramulla Enamul Maqbool.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Enamul Maqbool warmly welcomed all Supervisors and Enumerators participating in the first phase of the training programme and emphasized the vital role of field functionaries in ensuring the successful conduct of Census operations. He stressed the importance of dedication, discipline, accuracy, and transparency while carrying out field duties on the ground.

During his inaugural address, he directed the participants to maintain close coordination with the public during enumeration work and ensure that every household is covered without omission. He further advised the field staff to conduct the exercise with patience, professionalism, and complete adherence to the prescribed Census guidelines and procedures. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining confidentiality of the collected data and instructed the participants to work with sincerity and a sense of national responsibility.

The training sessions were imparted by designated Master Trainers as per the guidelines and modules prescribed for Census 2026–27. Detailed demonstrations and practical orientations regarding household enumeration, data collection procedures, use of prescribed formats, field verification, and proper interaction with the public were conducted during the session.

The participants were also sensitized about the significance of accurate data collection for effective planning and policy formulation. Interactive sessions were held to address queries and ensure that the Supervisors and Enumerators gain complete clarity regarding their roles and responsibilities in the forthcoming Census exercise.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the field functionaries deputed for Phase 1 training under Tehsil Baramulla and Tehsil Narvaw.
